Monthly Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy meeting for November

What do acupuncture and birth doula work have in common? For some, they are complementary disciplines; both require training and skills; and both are the specialties of Sharon McDermott, M.S., L.Ac., CBD, owner of https://healthyhealingli.com, a Long Island-based practice offering alternative and herbal therapies.
The free, virtual (Zoom) People for Patient Safety (PPS) meeting from Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy will take place November 10 at 6:00pm ET, and is open to Individuals from the healthcare workforce (both current and retired), patient advocates, caregivers, and community members with firsthand experience of the healthcare system. It is hosted by Caryn Isaacs of Aging Icon.

According to Sharon, “Acupuncture and birth doula work are considered safe when performed by trained professionals. You will learn the safety protocols in acupuncture and birth doula work.”
The meeting will include opportunities for questions and discussion.
It is approved for one General CE by the Patient Advocate Certification Board to satisfy the requirements for Board Certified Patient Advocates (BCPA).
