Pulse Center for Patient Safety’s Karen Campbell to Host “Planning for Aging in Place” Virtual Meeting for Patient Advocates

Planning for aging in place is not easy. A patient advocate can help older people assess their needs, desires and resources and build a plan that takes account of the many moving parts involved.

Tonight (October 27, 2025) Karen Campbell, MBA, RScP of Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy will host a session of Advocates Collaborative Educational Series (ACES), “Planning for Aging in Place: Your Home, Your Community, Your Choice” devoted to that topic. This is her specialty as an advocate. She helps families identify and address specific risk factors that threaten seniors’ ability to remain safely at home.

Karen uses real-world case studies to explore how patient advocates can support informed, person-centered decisions regarding a variety of challenges and risks associated with aging in place.

The free virtual ACES session is open to all patient advocates and health care professionals and will include an open discussion. It is approved for one JEDI CE by the Patient Advocate Certification Board to satisfy the requirements for Board Certified Patient Advocates (BCPA)*
