Patient: “B positive.”
Doctor: “I’m trying, but you’ve lost a lot of blood.”
Ouch!! Rest assured, the level of wit and humor will be better than that when outstanding local comedians take the stage at the next Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy comedy night fundraiser. And it’s not all doctor jokes.
Those who’ve attended past years’ editions will tell you: it’s a memorable evening of food, drink, laughter and raffles at the Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore, NY. This year will be no different, as families, patients and medical professionals gather in support of safer health care for all.
Pulse is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits offering advocacy and education around patient safety. It has the support of major healthcare institutions, offers monthly forums and educational series, and attracts national figures to speak at its annual symposia and advocacy training events.
All that takes money, and you can help — while having a rollicking good time.
