Westbury, NY — Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy (Pulse CPSEA), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving patient safety through education and advocacy, is proud to announce its 2026 Family-Centered Patient Advocacy Symposium, scheduled for March 26–27, 2026, at the Viana Hotel & Spa in Westbury, New York.
The symposium, themed “What Is a Patient Safety Advocate and Why It Matters to You!”, is a two-day intensive training designed for family caregivers, patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and community leaders seeking practical strategies to prevent medical errors and improve patient outcomes.

The event will focus on communication skills, patient engagement, healthcare navigation, and advocacy strategies proven to reduce preventable harm. Participants will gain tools to confidently partner with healthcare teams and advocate for safer care.
“Patient safety advocacy empowers individuals to speak up, ask questions, and protect themselves and their loved ones,” said Pulse president Ilene Corina. “This symposium builds a community of informed advocates who make healthcare safer for everyone.”
