Patient Advocates
Family-Centered Patient Advocates bring diverse specialties and unique approaches to patient support—explore our directory to find a match for your specific healthcare journey.
Navigating healthcare can be overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. These independent professionals have successfully completed a rigorous Family-Centered Patient Advocacy Training in March 2024 and / or 2025 and offer their unique services to support your healthcare journey.

Each advocate brings their own specialty, background, and approach to patient support—from organization experts to medical professionals to experienced caregivers. While all are certified in Pulse's methodology, they operate their own practices and offer distinct services tailored to different needs and situations.

We invite you to browse our advocates' profiles to discover their individual specialties and reach out directly to those whose expertise aligns with your needs. Healthcare support isn't one-size-fits-all—connect with an advocate whose unique background resonates with your specific circumstances.

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING

CHIRA B.

"The advocacy training is invaluable for everyone. It equipped me with the knowledge to help my loved ones understand the importance of taking an active role in navigating the healthcare system. The training emphasizes how patient safety awareness directly impacts the quality of care received—a crucial lesson for anyone interacting with medical services."

SIMA M.
"Nearly everyone begins and ends life as a patient. In between, we may be called upon to advocate for friends and family members, or to find someone who can speak for us. Through the FCPA program, I learned effective strategies to help others navigate the healthcare system and support their healthcare goals. These skills enabled me to facilitate important conversations within my own family and advocate for my parents when they needed representation. I highly recommend this training for its practical value in healthcare navigation."

DAVID F.
"PULSE's Patient Advocacy Training delivered an exceptional educational experience. The expert instructors provided valuable insights through engaging sessions and practical exercises that effectively reinforced the material. Implementing the knowledge and tools gained during the program, I experienced remarkable improvement in my advocacy capabilities. This training is essential for anyone dedicated to becoming an effective patient advocate."

About Pulse Family-Centered Patient Advocate Training
Healthcare systems weren't designed to be navigated alone. When a loved one enters the medical world, family members often step into crucial advocacy roles—roles that require specific knowledge and skills that aren't intuitive or easily acquired.

Many discover that the advocacy expertise developed while supporting family transforms into valuable professional capabilities. Our training program bridges this personal experience with professional development, preparing you to serve others effectively whether as a volunteer or paid advocate.

Our comprehensive curriculum equips you with essential skills in:

* Strategic healthcare system navigation
* Identifying and collaborating with key medical personnel
* Preventing common threats including falls, infections, and medical errors
* Building effective patient-provider relationships through critical communication
* Recognizing and addressing healthcare bias

The "Family" in our approach acknowledges that effective advocacy extends beyond the patient to support the entire family unit facing medical challenges, from new diagnoses and injuries to ongoing treatment and aging concerns.
