Johanna has worked to improve medication safety in Canada and internationally for the past 12 years. In 2016 Johanna received the Patient Safety Champion Award from HealthCareCAN and the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. She is on the Oversight Committee of the Therapeutics Initiative and teaches yearly in the PharmD course (UBC).
